Four men and a teen have been arrested in connection with a burglary at a house in Co Mayo.
The arrests were made at a property in the Ballinrobe area on Friday night.
A high-powered car and a commercial van were seized during the operation along with items of property that are believed to be linked to recent burglaries.
Four men aged in their 20s and a 15-year-old boy were detained in relation to the burglary at a house in the Claremorris area on Friday, September 13.
All five were arrested as part of a planned garda operation and will appear in Castlebar District Court later today.
They are currently being held at Castlebar and Westport Garda stations.
A garda spokesman said: "Investigating Gardaí are appealing for information.
"They are particularly appealing to anyone with information to offer in respect of sightings of a black hatchback type car or any suspicious activity in the South Mayo area on Friday to contact the Incident Room at Castlebar Garda station on 094 9038200 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
"The operation involved local, regional and national Garda resources working collaboratively to disrupt this criminal activity and bring offenders before the Courts."
