Four women have pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit fraud after being arrested by Cheshire police in connection with a series of offences across the North West .
Emmiline Burdon, 29, Lyndsey Burdon, 36, Sarah Burdon, 40, and Sonia Malhi, 37, were all arrested on May 13 as part of an investigation co-ordinated by detectives from Macclesfield and Northwich Beat teams and well as officers from Merseyside’s fraud unit.
The detectives were supported by Cheshire Constabulary’s Economic Crime Unit.
All four women, from Manchester, were charged with conspiracy to commit fraud along with a number of other offences.
The charges relate to allegations of the fraudulent usage of stolen bank details that were allegedly used to purchase items at stores in Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester and Derbyshire.
Emmiline Burdon, of Riverdale Road; Lynsdey Burdon, of Brynorme Road; Sarah Burdon, of Evesham Road, and Sonia Malhi, of Hobson Crescent, Audenshaw, Greater Manchester; all appeared at Chester Crown Court on June 25 where they pleaded guilty to all offences.
They have all been remanded in custody and are due to be sentenced week beginning July 20.
Lynsdey Burdon pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit fraud, two charges of theft and possession of an article for use in fraud.
Emmiline Burdon pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit fraud, theft, three charges of driving whilst disqualifed, three charges of using a vehicle without insurance, obstructing an officer and possession of counterfeit money.
Sarah Burdon pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit fraud and dishonestly retaining wrongful credit.
Sonia Malhi pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit fraud, theft, possession of a controlling drug, namely cocaine, and possession of an offensive weapon.
