Four Manchester United players who hold key to ending Man City's winning run

Lee Sharpe has picked out four Manchester United players that could be crucial in ending Manchester City's winning run at the weekend.

United and City go head-to-head on Sunday in a game that is likely to have more bearing on the former's chances of the top four than anything else.

Despite being the Premier League's top two, City are a huge 14 points clear of their neighbours going into the game at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola's side have now won 21 games in a row in all competitions as they continue to break records with their relentless pursuit of the title.

Meanwhile, at Old Trafford, it's now been three successive goalless draws for the Reds in all competitions and they know they'll have to improve drastically in attack when they face a stern City defence on Sunday.

Sharpe, formerly of United, has picked out four players from his old team that could be pivotal in spoiling the Blues' weekend.

"It's going to be a tough game for United this weekend," Sharpe, speaking exclusively to Ladbrokes at its launch of the 5-A-Side Bet on the Manchester Derby, said.

"Man City will have a lot of the ball and United will have to be really careful if they're going to try and play it out from the back because City are so good at pressuring high up the pitch and forcing you into mistakes.

"United are going to spend a lot of the game penned in their own half.

"But the pace of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Daniel James and Mason Greenwood means United really have got to try and utilise the counter as much as they can.

"Those four can do some damage, but City are in such good form at the moment that you've really got to be at your best if you're to have a chance of taking anything from the game."
