Four Manchester United players nominated for Premier League award

Four Manchester United players have been nominated for the Premier League's Young Player of the Season award, including goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

The stopper has excelled on loan with Sheffield United, helping the Blades to a top-half finish in the Premier League in their first season back in the top-flight.

That has led to increased calls stating that he should usurp Everton's Jordan Pickford as England's first-choice goalkeeper ahead of the European Championships next summer.

However, he was not the only United player to be nominated for the award as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first-choice attacking line have all earned a spot.

Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial are all up for the award, after a season where they outscored Liverpool's front three - who are widely regarded to be the best in the world.

Greenwood netted 10 Premier League goals in the recent campaign, with Martial and Rashford both netting 17 to help fire United to Champions League football.

The United quartet are up against Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish, Chelsea pair Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic and Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold for the award.
