Four males arrested following Helen's Bay 'suspicious behaviour'

Police in Ards and North Down have arrested four males in the Helen’s Bay area.

This happened during the early hours of Thursday morning, September 3.

Police said the arrests followed reports of a group of males acting suspiciously at cars parked in Craigdarragh Road shortly after 1am.

A PSNI spokesperson added: "Officers attended and located the suspects, aged 15, 17, 18 and 22, and arrested them on suspicion of a number of offences including vehicle interference, criminal damage and obstructing police."

Sergeant James Rea added: “This is a great example of policing with the community. The prompt report to police by members of the public allowed officers to locate the suspects and take swift, appropriate action.

"I would encourage anyone witnessing suspicious activity to report it to police immediately on 101 or in the case of an emergency on 999.”
