The Government determine the infection rate of an area by calculating the amount of cases in the last seven days found there, which is then divided by the number of people living there. Then that figure is multiplied by 100,000.

Areas with highest infection rates

The areas with the highest Covid-19 rates in Leeds, were as follows:

  • Boston Spa and Bramham - 64 cases
  • Methley - 61 cases
  • Guiseley East and South - 64 cases
  • Otley South - 66 cases
