BHOPAL: Four people died by suicide in a day in the city; these cases were reported at Habibganj, Hanumanganj and Kamla Nagar police stations.
In the first incident, a 38-year-old man committed suicide at his home in Habibganj locality on Sunday night. No suicide note was recovered from the spot but cops said, he had gone to pick up his wife from her parents’ home in inebriated condition, where he exchanged heated arguments with her and family members over his drinking habit. Deceased, Vinay Kanare, worked as a daily wager, said cops.
A 62-year-old retired government employee died by suicide by hanging himself at his house in P&T Colony in Kamla Nagar area on Sunday. Deceased Bhawani Prasad Verma had retired from BSNL.
In another incident reported at Hanumanganj police station, a 55-year-old man committed suicide on Sunday night. The deceased Dharam Chandra Sahu, a resident of Ibrahim Ganj, worked at a medical shop in Medical Market.
In yet another suicide case reported in Kamla Nagar area on Sunday, a 41-year-old gardener hanged himself at his home in Nai Shabri Nagar. Police said, deceased Sachin Saini, 41, resided along with his wife and 12-year-old daughter.
