Four in a Bed fans claim West Lothian B&B got 'revenge' after gutting review

Tuesday evening saw the second instalment of Four in a Bed, as the popular show follows four popular Scottish B&Bs as they battle it out for top prize.

With both a West Lothian and Edinburgh venue taking part in the series, the episode saw both parties attend a rural set of lodges in Renfrewshire.

After welcoming the group to the Star and Garter hotel in Linlithgow on Monday, many were watching to see how owners Denise and Carina would react as they became guests in the competition.

The pair had done exceptionally well during their turn to host, with all three owners being extremely impressed with their hosting and their breakfasts.

However, one couple, Shona and John Mitchell had said they would not stay at the venue again due to some issues with wifi, the TV and a dirty window sash.

Disappointed with the feedback, many viewers thought Denise and Carina may have been carrying out a small smidgen of revenge as they travelled to Shona and John's Larch Green Lodges.

Situated near the banks of the Clyde in Renfrewshire, the pair run a series of small cabins which come with a hot tub and fire pit for £250 per night.

Despite being impressed with the view and set up, Carina and Denise were quick to point out a shelf that hadn't been dusted, a dead fly and a few hairs in the bed.

Although enjoying the 'cook it yourself' breakfast, the pair were quick to bring up the cleanliness when they filled out the feedback form at the end of the episode.

Giving a nine out of ten for the breakfast, Carina said she was "disappointed there was no square sausage or black pudding."

Going on to rate the cleanliness, the pair scored a six, before saying they would not stay there again, mirroring Shona and John's review of the Star and Garter.

Carina added: "Based on the cleanliness, I'm going to say no."

After watching the episode, many fans took to social media to share their theories behind the mother and daughter's decision.

One user wrote: "Sensed a bit of revenge today, if they had taken the high ground and marked them fairly then it would have looked better on them."

Another tweeted: "I get the feeling that they were still smarting from yesterday."

A similar response read: "They're tit for tatting. Why wouldn't you want to stay again! I'd barricade myself in and refuse to leave personally."

The money each couple have paid for each venue is still to be revealed at the end of the week, with two B&Bs still to go, including Edinburgh owner Craig Bonar.
