Four Hyde & Seek creches ordered to close after investigation finds breaches of child care standards

Four Hyde & Seek crèches have been ordered to close after an investigation found breaches of child care standards.

The services at Tolka Road, Shaw Street, Millbourne Avenue and Glasnevin will all be forced to shut their doors by December 31.

It comes after an undercover probe by RTE Investigations into the Dublin creche chain earlier this year revealed sickening breaches of regulations.

Tusla said Hyde & Seek has 21 days to appeal the decision.

The Child and Family Agency said that it acknowledges parents will find themselves in the difficult position of finding alternative childcare providers in these areas, and that it has notified the Department of Children and Youth Affairs of their concerns.
