Four people were treated at the scene and then hospitalised after a multi-vehicle crash in Knowle.
just after 9.30pm yesterday evening (October 8).
A number of people were taken to hospital following the crash, including a woman who was cut free from one of the four cars involved.
A spokesperson for South Western Ambulance Service said: "SWASFT was called at 9.35pm to reports of a collision on Ilminster Avenue, Knowle.
"We sent a lot of ambulance resources to this incident including four ambulances, senior paramedics and the HART team.
"Ambulance teams treated four patients on scene who went onto hospital for further treatment."
A primary school aged child in one of the vehicles was taken home after assessment by paramedics.
None of the injuries received by the casualties involved are believed to be life-threatening.
Avon and Somerset Constabulary has confirmed that two men were arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and then de-arrested to enable medical assessment.
Police have not said which cars they were in at the time of the incident.
Officers have carried out house-to-house enquiries and police say the investigation is ongoing.
