Four Glasgow men fined after lockdown visit to London for family gathering

Police fined four Glasgow men who were returning from London having visited the English capital for a family gathering.

Cumbria Roads Police confirmed they pulled over their car on the M6 motorway at Penrith, in the north of England.

The four have been fined for breach of the coronavirus lockdown regulations.

Cumbria Roads Police took to Twitter on Saturday to say: "This vehicle stopped on the M6 at Penrith this morning containing four males who were on the return journey from London to Glasgow for a family gathering.

"All four issued with tickets for breaching Covid-19 regulations."
