Four Four Two publisher sells three titles to get green light for takeover

The publisher of Four Four Two, Techradar and Digital Camera has been given clearance to take over rival TI Media after selling three titles to meet competition concerns.

Future PLC's acquisition was approved after it agreed to sell TI titles World Soccer and Amateur Photographer to Kelsey Media, and Trusted Reviews.com to Incisive Media.

TI's 38 titles include Marie Claire, Woman's Own, TV Times, Homes & Gardens, The Field, Cycling Weekly and titles covering wine, golf, equestrianism, angling and gardening.

Future is the publisher of sports titles including Procycling and a raft of specialist shooting, technology, photography and business magazines and websites.

Future said: "On 16 March 2020, it was announced that the CMA had found that the purchase of TI Media did not raise competition concerns, subject to the sale of three closely competing products: World Soccer; Amateur Photographer; and the technology website Trustedreviews.com.

"We are pleased to announce today that Future has agreed the sales of World Soccer and Amateur Photographer to Kelsey Media, and Trusted Reviews to Incisive Media. These sales are expected to complete in the next few weeks."
