Four people accidentally won €100,000 on a McDonald's Monopoly game following a software error which made extra prizes available.
The fast food chain was running a promotional app giving a chance to two customers to win up to €100,000 (£85,000), but four diners had won the jackpot after just a few hours.
The mistake happened after the testers of the app left the program open for too long, according to the German newspaper Bild .
McDonald's Germany discovered the accident after a couple of hours - but it was already too late.
The company decided to continue with the game, adding two more jackpots to keep the competition going.
They said they will write the extra money off as training cash and added the prizes will be paid out, Mail Online reports.
A McDonald's spokesman said: "The colleagues working on this both in house and our service partners were devastated by the mistake and had a few sleepless nights as a result.
"Mistakes are human."
On Twitter , McDonald's wrote: "We just meant it well for you all."
A person commented: "Do you still have €100,000 to give away? I'll take them!"
Another social media user added: "Which raffle? Does anyone have a link?"
Another hilarious tweet showing a picture of P. Diddy throwing money around reads: "Monopoly starts: Meanwhile in the McDonald's IT."
