Britain will enjoy sunny spells and scattered rain this morning before the country faces four days of heavy showers.

The Met Office has issued yellow warnings over rain from Monday to Thursday which are likely to cause some flooding and travel chaos.

The remnants of Spanish Storm Miguel have brought mostly wet conditions, which some of them could be heavy and thundery, across parts of northern England.

Temperatures will vary between 9 and 18 degrees, but generally feel warmer and more pleasant due to much lighter winds compared to yesterday.

The evening will be bright with scattered showers for some, mostly in the west.

Southern and eastern England will have a dry, bright and sunny start to the day.

The conditions will gradually become worse on Monday as a yellow rain warning in place for London, Nottingham, Peterborough and Norwich area.
