Four charged and machete seized after mass brawl in south side

Two men and two women have been charged after a 'mass brawl' in south side of Glasgow.

We reported earlier that police were called to the scene at Househillmuir Road in Priesthill at around 5:15pm yesterday (March 5).

Emergency services raced to the street after receiving reports of a "disturbance" and officers were seen confiscating a long-handled machete from the scene.

The men, age 27 and 43, and women, age 37 and 43, were arrested and charged with disorder-related offences.

They are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Police Scotland can confirm that two men aged 27 and 43 and two women aged 37 and 43, have been arrested and charged with disorder related offences, following a disturbance on Househillmuir Road, Pollock around 5.15pm on Thursday, 5 March, 2020. 

"They are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday 6 March, 2020."
