Four cars rear-end each other on Tuggeranong Parkway

Four cars have rear-ended one another on Tuggeranong Parkway, leading to the closure of the northbound lane between the Hindmarsh Drive and Cotter Road exits.

It is understood the crash, which emergency crews were called to about 5.20pm, is relatively minor. One person at the scene is being assessed by paramedics for minor injuries.

ACT Policing, ambulance and fire and rescue units attended the scene, with the vehicles involved in the crash being moved to the side of the road.

Canberrans are urged to avoid the area. It was unclear when the northbound lane would be reopened as police were still on the scene about 6.20pm.
