Four cars destroyed in Ballymoney arsons

Four cars were torched in two incidents in Ballymoney overnight, police have said.

Officers believe car tyres were placed under each of the vehicles and set alight.

The first attack happened in the  Burnquarter Lane and the second on Garryduff Road in the Co Antrim town.

Police are investigating each of the incidents and believe they are linked.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "It's understood tyres were placed under the cars, two in Burnquarter Lane and two in Garryduff Road, and subsequently set alight. At this stage police believe the incidents may be linked.

"Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to please get in touch with police via 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously."
