Four 'Brit' tourists seen wearing MANKINIS in Polish city of Krakow hunted by police

Four English-speaking tourists are being hunted by police in Poland after they strolled through Krakow wearing just lime green mankinis.

They are wanted for breaching public decency laws after they walked through the historic Renaissance Market Square before getting into a horse-drawn carriage, according to local reports.

Their nationality is not known but one of the men appeared to have a tattoo of an England flag on his arm.

Krakow is a popular European destination for stag weekends.

The men were reported to have been captured on CCTV and by a photographer, police said on Thursday.

They were then reported by a member of the public.

The outrageous mankini is a popular fancy dress costume for stags and pranksters ever since it was worn by Sacha Baron Cohen alter-ego Borat.

Krakow province police spokesman Sebastian Glen said: "At the moment no one has been accused – we are still looking.

"There was a witness who says… they were speaking English.

"They could be Australian or from other countries in Europe who use English. So we don’t know yet if they were British. It will not be easy to locate them.

"If they have already returned to their country it could be difficult."

The police officer continued : "We have many tourists in Krakow and this kind of behaviour is not common."

If the men are caught, they could face a 5000 zloty (£1,000) fine or 30 days imprisonment.
