Four Brighton players Graham Potter could sign for Chelsea under Todd Boehly's watch

Chelsea and Brighton - a relationship in the transfer market that has blossomed over the last few months.

Whether it's Levi Colwill, Marc Cucurella, Billy Gilmour or most recently Graham Potter, the two clubs in question will most likely continue trading with each other, especially with Potter now in the Stamford Bridge dugout for the long-term.

It's important to add too that Brighton's CEO has already waxed lyrical on Boehly and his credentials as interim sporting director. Coupled with this, multiple Seagulls stars have been name checked.

With this all taken into account, football.london takes a look at the four Brighton stars Chelsea could be looking to poach in the next couple of transfer windows.

Moises Caicedo

The midfielder has shone brightly since replacing Yves Bissouma, who departed in the summer to join Tottenham.

Caicedo starred in the opening day Manchester United weekend win at Old Trafford and the Leicester City thumping at home.

No wonder the likes of Liverpool, the Red Devils and now the Blues are eying up the Ecuadorian. For Chelsea themselves, they will need a midfield revamp with N'Golo Kanté and Jorginho set to leave at the end of the season, as it stands.

"It made me very sad now that he left for Chelsea because he helped me a lot and I wanted to continue having him as a manager, but that’s football," the 20-year-old told Ole via the Evening Standard. "Right now I’m very focused on Brighton and the World Cup. I want to have a great World Cup and then we’ll see what happens.

"I think they are one of the best teams in the world and nobody would turn down an offer from Chelsea or any other club like that. It’d be a dream to be in the best teams in the world and succeed there."

Leandro Trossard

Just like with his midfield teammate, the Belgian international has opened up about his potential desire to join Chelsea.

"Our coach has now left for Chelsea, but speculations about me following him are pointless," the Belgian international opened up during this international break.

"If the opportunity arises, I want to go. But I do want to play and not sit on the couch.

Hopefully, Eden Hazard can convince his international compatriot to give the Chelsea challenge a go under Potter.

Alexis Mac Allister

With Chelsea's attacking problems well known, Potter may turn to the ever-improving Argentinean to help solve the issues and at the same time, provide the much-needed competition for Mason Mount.

The 23-year-old is versatile and can play in numerous positions and has so far netted in four out of the six Premier League games this term.

Tariq Lamptey/Billy Gilmour

Remember the song, 'Don't Look Back In Anger' by Oasis?

Senior members under both the previous and current owners may be having those kind of feelings with their respective decisions to allow both the full-back and midfielder to leave for the South Coast.

Especially Gilmour, who was a Potter signing and was left bemused by how events unfolded between Chelsea and Brighton in the managerial sense. Perhaps, one of the two will return eventually to SW6 at the request of the manager and his recruitment team, led by whomever the new sporting director is to be and Kyle Macauley.

Chelsea will have vacancies in defence and midfield that both could be options, with the Reece James back-up still on the agenda whilst the Kanté and Jorginho midfield situation could allow the young Scotsman a potential second chance in the limelight in West London.
