AHMEDABAD: A retired army jawan accused four men of assaulting him for running a paying guest accommodation in a residential society in Ghatlodia.
The incident occurred late on Tuesday, and Ganpat Panchal filed a complaint with Sola police on Wednesday.
The 52-year-old Vadaj resident, who works as a security officer with a private firm in Vastrapur, told police that he had bought a house in Krishnapark Society near RC Technical College in Ghatlodia which he rented to some college students.
“Around midnight on Tuesday, Krishnapark resident Parth Desai called me, saying his tenants were screaming and fighting with each other. He told me to reach the society immediately and resolve the issue. I reached the society where Desai along with his family members Alpesh, Bijal and Vishnu were waiting for me. When I asked what had happened, they began arguing with me. I tried to pacify them but they abused me,” he told the police.
Panchal said in the FIR that even though he assured them that his tenants would not disturb them in future, the four began thrashing him. He said that he managed to leave the place but not before the four threatened him with dire consequences. Panchal later approached Sola police and filed a complaint of causing hurt, uttering of abusive words, criminal intimidation and abetment against the four men.
