Four arrests as police raid houses as part of drugs operation in Leeds

Four people have been arrested in Harehills after police raided three addresses as part of an ongoing investigation into the production and supply of controlled drugs.

West Yorkshire Police visited three separate addresses in Harehills on Wednesday, May 20 as part of the operation.

Officers stormed properties on Bexley Mount, Harehills Road and Sutherland Mount. Three men and a woman were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply and produce class A drugs and money laundering offences.

The investigation is being led by the Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit.

On a post made on the force's Facebook page, a statement said: "West Yorkshire Police East Leeds Neighbourhood Policing Team assisted in the operation and continue to provide a visible presence at the locations identified.

"Three men and a woman were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply and produce class A drugs and money laundering offences and they remain in police custody."

Earlier this week, a different police operation discovered a massive cannabis farm that covered three rooms of a house in east Leeds.

When officers entered the residential property in the Victoria neighbourhood of East End Park, they found cannabis plants in three separate rooms - and they also seized money from the address.
