Four arrested after over £32k worth of drugs uncovered in Lanarkshire raids

Police have arrested four people following a series of drug raids in Lanarkshire.

Officers carried out a search warrant at a property on Braeside Place in Cambuslang around 8.30am yesterday, June 23.

Cocaine worth an estimated £2,200 was recovered from the scene along with £6000 in cash.

A 27-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman were arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.

They have both been released on undertaking.

Later the same morning around 11.55am, a second operation was carried out at a property on Linnhe Crescent in Wishaw.

Cannabis, worth an estimated value of £30,000 was discovered.

Two men, aged 24 and 40 were arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences. Both were were due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court today.

Police Scotland said: “Anyone with concerns about drugs in their community can contact Police via 101 or you can report it to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
