Four arrested after boy found seriously injured in Scots park and airlifted to hospital

Four teenagers have been arrested after an alleged attack on a 16-year-old who had to be airlifted to hospital.

Emergency services found the young man seriously injured in the King's Park area of Stirling around 8.30pm on Thursday evening.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, by air ambulance and currently remains in hospital receiving treatment.

The extent of his injuries are not yet known.

Two men, aged 16 and 18, were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

They are expected to appear at Stirling Sheriff Court today.

Two other teens, aged 16 and 17, have also been arrested in connection with incident and released pending further enquiry.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Two men, aged 16 and 18 years, have been arrested and charged after a 16-year-old man was found injured in the King's Park area of Stirling around 8.30pm on Thursday, 22 July.

"They are due to appear at Stirling Sheriff Court on Monday, 26 July, 2021.

"A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

"A further two male youths, aged 16 and 17 years, have also been arrested in connection with the incident and have been released pending further enquiry.

"The injured man was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, where he remains for treatment.

"No further details on injury at this time."
