Four people have been arrested after allegedly trespassing on a working mine site at Lake Macquarie.
Police were called to the coal plant on Powerhouse Road at Teralba about 11.30pm on Monday after reports that several people had entered the premises.
Officers established a perimeter and tracked down three men and one woman - with the help of the police dog unit - and arrested them without incident, a NSW Police statement said on Tuesday.
Police will allege the four people had removed or were in the process of taking a large quantity of copper cabling.
