Four acts from first episode of new Britain's Got Talent series revealed to be professionals

After just one week, four acts on a hugely popular TV talent show have been outed as professionals.

The Britain's Got Talent contestants already have successful careers, and some have even appeared on television.

The show returned to ITV last weekend, but the quartet of acts have already been called out as professionals, Mirror Online reports.

The Vardanyan Brothers were hailed by Simon Cowell as the "most dangerous act" to ever feature on the show.

They wowed viewers with their thrilling acrobatic routine, but it turns out they're already popular performers.

The boys, Gevorg and Andranik Vardanyan, won the Russian version of Britain's Got Talent, Minuta Slavy (Minute Of Glory), in 2017.

They've gone on to perform their act for audiences across the world.

Australian stand-up Gerry Connolly tickled viewers with his hilarious performance as comic creation The Queen.

Any Aussies watching will almost certainly know Gerry from his long-running TV career Down Under.

All the rumoured contestants for this year's I'm A Celebrity line-up on ITV

He's been an actor and comedian since the 1980s, with a long list of TV credits, including his own self named TV show.

Elizabeth The Haunting was a big hit with her seriously spooky act, but she's no amateur.

She's already got a bunch of gigs booked this year and will be part of a residency in Blackpool this summer if you want to snap up tickets.

Ventriloquist Jimmy Tamley has been a professional comedian since the 1980s, when he appeared on ITV talent show New Faces alongside Joe Pasquale.

BBC's Alex Lovell was afraid to go out alone after rape threats from stalker

He won the series in 1987 and went on to work with stars including Lenny Henry, Bill Bailey and Peter Kay.

Jimmy has appeared on TV shows including Sky’s Stand and Deliver, Channel 4’s Big Breakfast and The Weakest Link.

He's even performed at 10 Downing Street.

News of the professional acts in the line-up comes two years after Simon Cowell reportedly axed a number of contenders from the show after they were revealed to be pros.

The TV mogul was said to have been adamant he didn't want to fill the series with "Second Chance Charlies".

However, a spokesperson for the show said its doors are open to people of all levels of competency.

I'm A Celebrity duo to replace Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on ITV's This Morning

A BGT spokesperson said: “Anyone can apply for Britain's Got Talent whether they are professional or amateur, irrespective of their past experience, and all contestants are auditioned on merit.”

And a show source told Mirror Online the show has helped many already-successful acts get their big break.

“Britain's Got Talent offers the opportunity for people to showcase their talent and achieve household name status. Some may have tasted a level of success before but have yet to reach their full potential," said the insider.

"All those who enter the contest do so with the hope of elevating their career to the highest level and performing on the biggest stage of their lives. This opportunity is there for all acts, regardless of previous experience.”
