A water hydrant sent a huge plume of water gushing out in Liverpool city centre today.
Video from the city centre showed the temporary fountain in Wood Street, where street re-paving work is taking place.
Initially it was thought the fountain of water was caused by a burst water main.

However, the ECHO now understands a water hydrant that had been "tampered with" was responsible.
The water burst was eventually dealt with.
Work is continuing on the Ropewalks STEP Scheme where the incident occurred.
This targets Wood Street, Fleet Street, Slater Street and Colquitt Street in the city centre. The council say the vision behind this scheme is to "improve the safety and functionality of this bohemian heart of Liverpool, and help enhance the thriving day and night time economies bursting with music, art and culture."
