Popular paleontologist Prof. Yoshitsugu Kobayashi has been posting dinosaur-themed quiz questions on Twitter for children stuck at home during the Golden Week holidays.

"Triceratops had how many horns?" "When did the dinosaur exist on Earth?" were among some of the questions posed by the dinosaur expert nicknamed Fossil Hunter by his many young fans.

The Hokkaido University Museum-based academic, who is known for his discovery of a Kamuysaurus fossil, posted his first set of questions on April 29. The quiz featured multiple questions and included such activities as looking for a footprint of a dinosaur in a photograph and drawing the crest of a Kamuysaurus.

Kobayashi also had some advice for children stuck at home during the coronavirus crisis, based on his experiences spending days in tents when bad weather disrupts excavation activities.

"The trick is to enjoy doing things that can only be done now." he said. "Stay at home and spend this period of time 'evolving.'"

The dinosaur-themed questions can be found on the official Twitter account of his book "Kyoru Mamire," which was released last year.
