The Bristol hailed artists will be occupying other internationally acclaimed artists such as Jamie XX, Little Simz, Fred Again.., Shygirl and more.

One of FORWARDS’ newest additions Ishmael Ensemble said: ''We've had such a fun year since the release of Visions Of Light, and can't wait to bring the show home this September alongside a really incredible line up over the two days.

“We'll be celebrating on The Downs with a whole load of our own special guests in tow for this performance. See ya there!’'

FORWARDS is set to be Bristol's newest and biggest international music festival in Bristol, bringing the first collaboration between AEG’s live-entertainment division AEG Presents and local event production company Team Love.

In addition, the festival will be kickstarting social initiatives to help nurture new talent across the city, through partnering with a range of Community Interest Companies (CICs) such as Big Team CIC that aids in fostering opportunities for under-represented groups in the festival and events industry.

The line-up for this year's first ever FORWARDS includes The Chemical Brothers, Jamie XX, Little Simz, Róisín Murphy and more (FORWARDS)

Meanwhile, Team Canteen CIC, which works to combat food vulnerability, will be providing community-led catering at the festival.

Lastly, the festival is also raising funds for NHS workers by collaborating with partnering with organisations 'Protect our NHS' and 'Bristol grAttitude’ at the event, while also offering all local NHS workers day tickets at £25.00+bf, alongside an affordable ticket scheme that is accessible for those on low incomes.

Tom Paine, director of Team Love, said:

“What a line-up and what a weekend! Alongside the likes of Chemical Brothers and Jamie XXX, we are thrilled to shine a light on the fantastic talent that Bristol has to offer, and excited to see these superb local artists perform to home crowds.

“FORWARDS Festival feels like a proper celebration and more than just a music festival. We are challenging what metropolitan festivals can be today and how they can do good from the inside out – and this is just the beginning.”
