Fortnite’s annual Halloween event, Fortnitemares 2025, officially kicked off on October 9, with a host of spooky cosmetics, seasonal content, and map changes. The event is slated to run through November 1.
One of the key features this year is a new Halloween-themed island in Reload mode named Nitemare Island, which launched October 10. Epic also dropped new “horror icon” crossovers, original seasonal skins, and quests tied to the spooky season.
At the start of the event, Epic launched some of the big names including Doja Cat, Ghostface from Scream and Scooby-Doo and Shaggy were also launched early in the item shop.
Beyond those, leakers and dataminers have uncovered (or suggested) many of the future release dates for further skins.
When will they be released?
- The Grabber (from The Black Phone) - October 17, 1am BST
- Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) - October 17, 1am BST
- Scooby-Doo: Velma / Daphne / Fred - October 18, 1am BST
- Art the Clown (Terrifier) - October 22, 1am BST
- Huggy Wuggy (Poppy Playtime) - October 23, 1am BST
- R.E.P.O / Semibot - October 25, 1am BST

In addition to those, rumours and leaks suggest a couple more that remain unconfirmed:
Wednesday Addams (from Wednesday) is expected but hasn’t had a confirmed shop date. Alien: Earth, Xenomorph or other sci-fi and horror crossovers might also enter later in October.
Also, aside from collaboration skins, there’s a free skin called Pig the Butcher (a masked butcher with pig mask) that you can unlock by levelling your account 15 levels before the end of the event.
Tips for players on securing the newest skins
Check the Item Shop nightly — many crossovers drop at “update times” (midnight UK / early morning BST).
Save up V-Bucks — if you want to grab all the collaboration skins, having the currency ready is smart.
Complete Fortnitemares quests — helps you gain XP to unlock the free Pig the Butcher skin.
Keep an eye on Fortnite’s official channels — official announcements may override leaks.
Don’t panic buy early — if you have limited V-Bucks, sometimes skins get re-rotated or discounted later (though with collaboration exclusives, sometimes they don’t return).
