After a bit of a false start to the season when it comes to loading screens, the new limited-time mission system seems to be fully operational. At the beginning of the season people were able to complete these daily challenges and earn loading screens, but they weren’t able to actually grab the battle star that was meant to come along with earning the loading screen. That was a glitch that has since been fixed, so let’s get to finding these things. Read on for a mpa, guide and location for where to find the hidden battle star in Fortnite’s Season 10, Week 2 Loading Screen: Shootout At Sundown.
To start, let’s take a look at the loading screen, which features some new skins standing inside of Tilted Town, the western-themed location that arrived alongside the first major patch of the season to replace Neo Tilted:

A menacing little scene befitting the Western setting, but there is, of course, a hint in there as well. You can see it on the building behind one of the characters: it’s a Fork and a Knife carved into the wood:

Experienced Fortnite players probably don’t need anything else to go on after that: the Fork and the Knife are stalwart locations in this game, having survived multiple world-ending cataclysms. It’s down in the southern part of the map, just north of Fatal Fields, another longstanding location. Here’s where you want to drop:

The battle star will be right in the middle of the two utensils on a patch of bare earth. Here’s what they look like from the air:

And that’s it! These are significantly easier to get than in season’s past, because all you need to do is complete three pretty straightforward challenges. You still need to earn the loading screen in order to unlock the challenges.
Check back for more as the map keeps shifting. Today, Retail Row returned to replace Mega Mall, bringing with it a bunch of Fortnitemare-producing crystals of the kind that showed up back with Halloween. There’s also a Rift Beacon up in Dusty Depot as well as some Moisty-looking grass in Paradise Palms. Stay tuned.
