Challenges are just one way to earn XP in Fortnite these days.
You can wrack up a bunch each week by hunting down XP Coins also. And while individual coins may not be worth as much as completing a challenge, when you add them all up it’s quite a bit.
Here’s what each coin is worth:
- Green Coins: 5,000 XP
- Blue Coins: 6,500 XP
- Purple Coins: 10,300 XP
- Gold Coins: 15,000 XP
There’s a total of 4 Green Coins, 3 Blue Coins, 2 Purple Coins and 2 Gold Coins to track down, so if you get each one that’s a total of 89,100 XP just from coins. Challenges are typically 25,000 XP each so this is like solving three and change. Gold Coins are where it’s at, of course, since they’re worth the most and don’t burst into a dozen smaller coins like the Purples.
The first of this week’s Gold Coins can be found in the Sentinel Graveyard. You’ll need to build up to reach it:
The second (pictured at the top of this post) is a bit more challenging. That’s because it’s located inside Doctor Doom’s Vault. This means you’ll either need to take out Doom and get the keycard and enter the Vault that way, or wait for someone else to do it.
The rest of the coins are scattered about the map high and low, far and wide. You can find each of them in the map below:
Happy hunting out there, young padawans! It’s hard to believe it’s already Week 10 and the season will be over soon(ish). Crazy.
