Fortnite star Ninja gets his own skin - a week after claiming game 'isn't fun'

Last week, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins hit the headlines, after claiming that Fortnite ‘isn’t fun anymore.’

The Fortnite star lashed out after experiencing several lags and glitches during a game , shouting: “Why is my game freezing? I’m freaking out right now, Fortnite is falling apart.”

However, it seems that Ninja has made amends with Epic Games, and now Fortnite has even released a skin dedicated to the gamer.

In a video announcing the skin, Ninja said: “It happened. It’s official, we finally got a Ninja skin. In the game. In Fortnite. We did it.”

Like Ninja, the character has blue spiky hair, and wears a blue hooded jacket and black trousers.

Players can choose from four different variations - Default, Mask On, Raven and Reactive - as well as ‘back bling’.

However, if you want to use the skin you’ll have to be quick - it’s only available until January 19.

Ninja added: “I’m just really excited about this, I’m excited to share this with you guys. If you put the time in, the effort in, anything is possible. That’s just facts.”

According to Epic Games, this skin is the first of many collaborations, called the ‘Icon Series.’

In a blog announcing the series, the developer explained: “Gaming, music, film, and fashion collide in Fortnite in the Icon Series. The Icon Series brings the artistic vision, personality, and attitude of top creators to Fortnite, building on previous collaborations with Marshmello and Major Lazer.

“Stay tuned for future Icon Series collaborations, including Loserfruit, TheGrefg and more creators from games, music and entertainment.”
