Fortnite servers are now back online as Epic Games has rolled out the latest patch, update version 12.50 for the popular battle royale game.

Epic Games confirmed the downtime for Fortnite earlier today as the game was taken offline at 7am BST.

The game has been offline for nearly four hours, which is typically how long they always take when bringing in new patches.

People on Reddit have been saying they expect this update to address all the known bugs on Epic Games' Trello Board for the game

Now the update is officially out, players will find an update for their game on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch so all you have to do is download the new patch, log back in and start winning.

Fortnite's official Twitter page confirmed the end of the downtime, signalling the good news.

Epic Games rolls out updates for Fortnite every Wednesday, so this downtime was expected.

As for what is being added in this update, we will have to wait and see since Epic doesn't release any patch notes for Battle Royale anymore.

There are rumours circulating that Epic has provided some modicum of patch notes to content creators, explaining this update added a new Spy Games mode, while also nerfing the heavy sniper rifle and the game's aim assist function.
