Fortnite has unleashed one of its final week’s worth of challenges today, and this could end up being one of the harder weeks for a few reasons.
Here’s the full list of challenges for week 8 that have just gone live:
Free
- Apply Shields (0/400)
- Visit different clocks (0/3)
- Eliminate opponents in Snobby Shores or Mega Mall (0/7)
Battle Pass
- Damage opponents with assault rifles (0/500)
- Stage 1: Land at Paradise Palms (0/1)
- Use a volcano vent, air vent and zipline in a single match (0/1)
- Eliminations outside named locations (0/5)
Applying shields is pretty standard as if you’re playing Fortnite and not applying shields, you’re doing it wrong, and 400 HP worth of shields should be done in a few games at most.
Visiting different clocks could be a bit trickier unless you really know the new Fortnite map. One obvious one was the clock tower in Tilted Towers but guess what? It’s Neo Tilted now. This is why we have a guide for you showing you all three clock locations on the map you need to go to.
Seven kills in Snobby Shores or Mega Mall may prove challenging for some. Mega Mall is a pretty hot drop these days between all the loot there and all the Fortbytes hidden there, so that’s your best bet to get in on the action quickly and try to rack up some kills as soon as the game starts.
Try to kill people with assault rifles as that will help you with this next challenges, which is putting 500 damage on players with ARs. I don’t think it counts if they’re driving a vehicle so it has to be on their actual person. Any assault rifle variant should do.
There’s a five stage challenge that just has you landing at different named locations, which is in direct contrast with another challenge which asks you to get kills outside of named locations, so all in all you need 12 kills for this week, 7 in two named locations, 5 in non-named locations. Have fun with that.
Finally, you need to use a volcano vent, air vent and zipline in a single match, which obviously means you should start this hunt near the volcano, then ride up to one of the floating platforms with an air vent on it, then find one zipline to complete the trio. This may take some doing.
Do all that and you will unlock the week 8 loading screen which is essential in finding a Fortbyte that will probably not be live until this Sunday, if past ones are any indication. But check it out here if you like to get a head start.
