Today marks the start of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 5, Week 12 with a whole new batch of challenges and XP Coins to find.
XP Coins come in four shades: 1 Gold, 2 Purple, 3 Blue and 4 Green coins. None of these are worth as much as a Weekly/Epic Challenge (20,000 XP) but they’re a great way to get a little extra and help level that Battle Pass up and get the special gold/silver/foil skins.
This is a long season. I believe it’s going to be 16 weeks total, perhaps more, so you should have no problem getting to Tier 100, but every little bit helps.
XP Coins are worth the following amounts:
- Green: 5,000 XP
- Blue: 6,500 XP
- Purple: 10,300 XP
- Gold: 15,000 XP
Here’s where each Week 12 coin is on the map:
You’ll find all the Blue Coins in the water, blending in. Keep an ear out for the sound each coin makes, as you’ll hear a slight humming or jingling when there’s one nearby.
The purple coins are worth 10,300 XP but only if you can gather each of the mini coins that burst out when you approach one. That’s not usually too difficult, but sometimes it makes sense to build some barriers to keep them falling too far away.
The big Gold XP Coin is dead-center of the map this week, just to the north of the Zero Point in a cluster of Zero Point Crystal formations:
