Next week’s Fortnite challenges have leaked online and the big question on everyone’s mind is: What on earth are gravity stones?
Searching gravity stones is one of Season 4, Week 5′s big Battle Pass challenges. But whatever gravity stones are, they’re certainly not hop rocks—the glowing consumables found in the game’s various craters that allow players to temporarily defy gravity.
‘Search Gravity Stones’ implies that these are more like treasure chests or llamas, items that can be searched and opened to reveal their content. We’ll know soon enough.
Here’s the full list of Week 5 challenges, courtesy of Fortnite Tracker:
- Deal damage with SMGs to opponents (500)
- Search Chests in Dusty Divot (7)
- Use a Jetpack (1)
- Search Gravity Stones (7)
- Follow the treasure map found in Greasy Grove (1) (HARD)
- Minigun or Light Machine Gun Eliminations (2) (HARD)
- Eliminate opponents in Lucky Landing (3) (HARD)
We have a treasure map challenge again, which shouldn’t be too difficult. In fact, the only one of these that should be too terribly problematic is searching chests in Dusty Divot. That’s going to be utter mayhem.
Fortunately, the eliminations challenge is minigun or LMG kills rather than last week’s appalling trap eliminations challenge. That should be significantly easier.
Perhaps the easiest challenge on here is to simply use a jetpack one time. That requires you find one, of course, but given that there’s a limited-time mode featuring jetpacks going on at the moment, it shouldn’t be much of a challenge. Which is also probably the point.
