Tis the season to be jolly, and to play video games. If you’re a Fortnite player, it’s time to head out and complete Operation Snowdown challenges.
Epic Games is releasing one new, free challenge every day until December 30th—you can see the full list and rewards here—and today’s challenge gives players a chance to take a crack at Crackshot (take a shot at Crackshot?)
In today’s free Operation Snowdown challenge, players are tasked with destroying five Nutcracker Statues. These are life-size statues positioned here and there in various Named Locations across Fortnite’s map. I’m not sure how many there are in total, but I’ve found five of them for you to smash to pieces, and that’s all you need.
The Nutcracker Statues look like this—the same size as a character in Fortnite:
Once you find a Nutcracker Statue, simply destroy it. After five are smithereens, you’ll complete the challenge and earn the Blustery Bag Back Bling reward, which looks like this:
The five locations where you can find a Nutcracker Statue (there are probably more) are:
- Sweaty Sands
- Lazy Lake
- Holly Hedges
- Salty Towers
- Pleasant Park
Here are maps of where to find each one.
Sweaty Sands — In the trailer park on the west side of town.
Lazy Lake — Outside the house next to the robber’s house in the northwest part of town.
Holly Hedges — In front of a house on the northeast side of town.
Salty Towers — In front of a house north of the skyscrapers.
Pleasant Park — In front of a house on the northwest part of town.
As you can see, these are all decorations in front of various houses, trailers and so forth on the map. You probably won’t find any Nutcracker Statues inside or in front of commercial buildings, though I could be wrong. That’s just a hunch.
