Fortnite is down: Game crashes as Epic Games prepares for big update

It’s one of the most popular video games at the moment, but it seems that Fortnite has crashed for players across the UK this morning.

According to Down Detector, the issues started at around 07:00 this morning, and are affecting players across the UK.

While the nature of the outage remains unclear, of those who reported problems, 72% said it was with the server connection, 26% with log-in, and 1% with the website.

Fortnite regularly goes down for a few hours as developer Epic Games releases new updates.

However, Epic Games is yet to comment on this morning’s outage.

Another added: "Fortnite servers are down who knows when the servers will be back online."
