Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 5 has now gone live, and it features a crossover with the Disney+ Star Wars spin-off The Mandalorian.
Among the Mandalorian-themed features added to the hit battle royale game is the challenge to retrieve precious beskar steel from the belly of a shark.
In the Star Wars mythology, beskar is the valuable material from which Mandalorian armour and weapons are forged.
Here’s how to locate and obtain the beskar in Fortnite…
First, players must make their way to the island north of Coral Castle, in the very northwest corner of the map.
They will find a rock formation there shaped like a shark’s head. Travel through its mouth, and there’s a broken-down Agency base.
If you move to the second floor of the base, and head towards the western end of the structure, you will find a vault, with its door ajar.
Inside lies a single ingot of the precious beskar steel, which you can pick up to complete the challenge.
Fortnite’s fifth season in its second chapter follows a live event in which players took on Galactus alongside Marvel Comics characters.
The Galactus event became the most popular event in the game’s history, with more than 15 million players joining concurrently.
