'Fortnite' Fortbyte #16 Location: Found In A Desert House With Too Many chairs

Fortnite

I’ll admit: this wasn’t the Fortbyte I expected today. I was assuming that we were going to get the “found in loading screen #3″ dropping alongside Fortnite’s Week 4 challenges, but that one isn’t available yet for some reason. Instead, we’ve got two new Fortbytes today: one just asks you to complete six week 3 challenges, which you can figure out with the help of a handy guide. The other one is a little silly, in true Fortnite fashion. It’s not entirely clear where you’re going beyond the biome, so read on for a map, guide and location for Fortbyte #16 “found in a desert house with too many chairs”.

There are two major options for where we’re going to find houses down in the desert biome: Paradise Palms and the pueblo area. We’ll be heading to the second one, an unnamed point of interest but still a pretty recognizable area with plenty of loot. Here’s where you’re going:

The house you’re looking for is a reddish/purple building along the southern edge of the village. The easiest way to get to it is to just run along the south of the whole area and look for this air conditioning unit on the wall:

Apparently,  “too many chairs” in this instance refers to all the armchairs that are blocking the doorways: the inside has from what I can tell, a reasonable number of chairs. The easiest way to get to the Fortbyte is to just bust open that wall and waltz on in. Here’s what it looks like:

Run in and pick it up: no special costume required. These are getting a little more fun: straightforward ones like “found in Haunted Hills” still require a little bit of looking, but I like it when they’ve got a little more of that wacky  flavor to them. The  map has a lot of suppressed narrative going on, not unlike the Fallout series. Why did they put the chairs there? Who were they keeping out? Impossible to say, but it looks like they were protecting a Fortbyte. Check back for more of these things as they’re made available.
