Fortnite servers back online as maintenance finishes up

New shop cosmetics will be available during Summer Splash (Picture: Epic Games)

Fortnite servers are back online as Epic Games has finished implementing the latest update for the popular battle royale game.

Epic confirmed the downtime for Fortnite had finished at around 8:50am today after the game was offline for roughly an hour.

This update is different from one of the normal numbered updates we see, which means it was probably just a small hotfix patch to solve some leftover issues from V13.20

Now the update has rolled out, players should have no problem updating their game by downloading the new patch and logging back in.

The official Twitter page for Fortnite's server status shared the information earlier today.

This update could have also added some more assets to the game due to the Summer Splash event taking place.

Summer Splash is adding new LTMs and summery-themed cosmetics will be popping up in the shop from now until the end of August.

Update v13.20 has also fixed a host of bugs, according to the official Trello board of known issues.

Among other things, deployable workbenches were added to the game because of how difficult it was to actually find them dotted about the map.

For all the new additions in V13.20 check out our full patch notes article here.
