Fortnite servers are down as Epic Games is implementing its latest patch version 12.40 for the popular game.
Epic Games confirmed the downtime for Fortnite earlier today as the game was taken offline at 7am BST.
The game could be offline anywhere between an hour to two hours, but quite often it seems Epic Games has the update ready earlier.
Once the update has been rolled out, players will have no problem updating their game by downloading the new patch and logging back in.
The official Twitter page for Fortnite's server status shared the information earlier today.
Unfortunately, Epic Games has stopped sharing patch notes about all the features brought in these updates so we'll have to fire it up to see what's new in version 12.40.
You can check on the server status here by using Epic Games' official server website for more information. At the time of this update, all servers and services are back online.
The servers were confirmed as going down today to implement a new update, meaning players couldn't log in for a time this morning.
If there are more dramatic changes coming, we'll have to see the state of the game when the servers are back online.
