Fortnite doomsday event as it happened: The end of Chapter 2, Season 2 sees map flooded by tsunami

Fortnite's Chapter 2, Season 2 end event, The Device, has come to an end, drastically changing how the Storm operates.

The event saw players lifted into the sky as the Doomsday Device was launched from the Agency, targeting the Storm.

During this time, players were sometimes transported to what looked like an office, where they were being spoken to by men in white shirts. This could possibly be a hint towards what is coming in Fortnite Season 3.

After that, the ever-shrinking Storm was cleared out and has been replaced by a huge wall of water which people online are referring to as a tsunami.

Currently, as matches go on, the tsunami is devouring parts of the map in a much more dramatic way than the Storm ever did.

Check out our live replay of the Device Doomsday event below.

Epic Games is known for ending seasons of Fortnite in spectacular ways. Just last year it completely destroyed everything in Fortnite with a black hole.
