It’s just gone live this morning, and now the theme for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 has been unveiled.
Epic Games, the developer behind the game, has released a trailer which reveals a ‘spies’ theme for Season 2.
It tweeted the trailer, writing: “Suit up, it’s time to drop in, secure intel and take back the Island. The Agency is calling, whose side are you on?”
The trailer features several spy characters, including a muscular cat called Meowscles, a god-handed hard man called Midas, and an elite specialist called Maya.
Meanwhile, Deadpool also appears to feature in the game.
The trailer narrator explained: “Throughout the season you’ll complete missions to earn a bonus variant for your Battle Pass agents. Ghost, or Shadow? Choose wisely.”
“You’ll also embark on limited time operations that will change the fate of the island forever. “
Chapter 2 Season 2 officially went live at 09:00 GMT, but the game was in downtime as the update was processed for around two hours.
However, it appears that the downtime has ended, with many eager fans taking to Twitter to discuss their excitement.
One user tweeted: “Downtime’s over everyone. Have fun! Welcome to Chapter 2 Season 2!”
Another added: “Yo this season, looks insane I can't wait to play it. The hype is real!!!”
And one joked: “I'm so excited for this new season, I'm trying to avoid looking at Fortnite's twitter to avoid spoilers.”
