'Fortnite' Paradise Palms Treasure Map: Where To Find The Treasure

Here’s where to search the X on the treasure map signpost in Paradise Palms.

This week’s batch of Fortnite challenges are pretty great. For one thing, we see the return of one of the best old-school Fortnite challenges in the form of a two-stage Treasure Map quest.

We haven’t seen Treasure Map challenges in a few seasons now, which is especially odd given the pirate theme of Season 8. You’d think they would have had these Treasure Map challenges at least a few times this season instead of the much more boring actual consumable Treasure Map items as challenges. I like those items because I like the booty you get from digging up buried treasure, but I like these challenges more than simply using an item.

In any case, the first stage tasks players with finding the map itself, which is pinned to a signpost in Paradise Palms. Here’s how to find that. And remember, this is a Free Challenge, meaning you don’t need to have purchased the Battle Pass in order to complete it.

Once you find the Treasure Map Signpost you’ll find the Treasure Map itself, which looks like this:

The map

Look carefully and you’ll see this is a sketched out version of Frosty Flights in the snow biome portion of Fortnite’s map.

The treasure location.

That means the “X” that marks the spot is near the runway at Frosty Flights. Here’s a zoomed in version:

Once you arrive at this location a Battle Star will appear. Simply interact with it to get your Battle Stars, complete Stage 2 of the challenge, and get that much closer to the Discovery Skin, Ruin, which goes live this week. You’ll also get closer to Tier 100 and the Luxe skin.

Here’s the Battle Star.

Here’s a very brief video guide to help you find the right spot:

In any case, good luck completing this week’s challenges and may the odds be ever in your favor, me hearties!
