'Fortnite: Battle Royale' Season 5 -- How To Unlock Week 2's Secret Free Battle Pass Tier

Fortnite

Didn’t you miss free battle pass tiers in Fortnite? I know I did, and thankfully they are back for season 5 with a new blockbuster challenge to pursue. We are back to getting secret battle stars hidden in the loading screens for the week, something we saw for the first seven weeks of season 4, but not for the last three.

So far, we don’t seem to be needing to solve any cryptic puzzles. Like the last few of these we’ve seen, the loading screen will flat-out show you where the secret battle star is without a need for a coded message.

This week? You are heading to the new Lazy Links zone which replaced Anarchy Acres with something far more interesting. The loading screen is at the top of the article here, and if you look closely, you can see the ghost of a battle star on top of the main building of the compound.

So, where you’re going is located on the map here. Lazy Links isn’t the greatest drop point ever, but you could do worse, and it’s certainly a step up from Anarchy Acres.

Here’s an aerial view of Lazy Links if you’re looking to land directly on it to snag the battle star immediately when the match stars.

And this will be your view from the top of the roof itself, where the battle star will be when this goes live.

So far, the next two loading screens have not leaked yet (they usually leak in pairs), so I’m not sure where we’re heading after this.  My guess would be the desert if we’re continuing to take a tour of the new areas, but perhaps the Viking Village on top of the waterfall? I could see a battle star being hidden on the ship somewhere, or something like that.

I thought The Visitor was a bit of a letdown as last season’s blockbuster skin, just because there was seven weeks of hype in front of him. I am more curious about this year’s, as I feel like it’s going to be a villain to go up against Drift, our time-traveling, dimension-hopping hero. While Tier 100’s Ragnarok is a very scary Viking in his final form, he still doesn’t seem like he’d be a foe for Drift specifically. So, what rival rift-hopper might we see? Or will it be a new kind of historical figure, or have a role in creating season 6, like The Visitor? Five more weeks until we find out, and this battle star will help you on your way.
