‘Fortnite’ Aquaman Challenge: How And Where To Use A Whirlpool At Fortilla

Deadpool is still here in Fortnite, having converted the yacht into a full-on Waterworld fortress. But he’s not the main superhero for Chapter 2, Season 3 of this game, as I suppose superhero skins are now a regular part of the battle pass. He’s been replaced with Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, which I never saw, but people seemed to like. We won’t be able to unlock him right away, but he’s not skulking away in a bathroom like Deadpool. He’s right there on deck with everyone else, patiently waiting for us to complete some challenges.

We’ve only got access to one Aquaman challenge here at the beginning of the week, but it’s a pretty straightforward. We’re supposed to use a whirlpool at the Fortilla, one of the new named POIs this season. Let’s go to the map:

The Fortilla is clearly down there in the southwest, a Waterworld sort of shanty town inhabited by some henchmen and a ton of loot. I’m not sure if the whirlpool is always in the same place or not, but regardless: it’s a giant whirlpool, clearly visible from the sky.

All you need to do is go over and enter the whirlpool to complete the challenge: I did so right from the sky. It acts like geysers, or volcano vents, or any number of similar items that have appeared over the past couple of seasons: it propels you up into the air and allows you to activate your glider and head on over somewhere else. Fortilla is right there, so head over and see what you can mix up.

That’s it for now, but there may be more interesting challenges coming up. By the looks of it we won’t get Aquaman until close to the end of the season, like usually happens with this sort of thing.
