Fortnite has launched season 7 with a new level 1 battle pass skin, Kymera, and one that like a few in the past, is customizable.
But since Kymera is not human, you can make him look like all sorts of wild types of aliens, and you will need Alien Artifacts in order to unlock permanent upgrades for him. What are Alien Artifacts? They show up on the map in the wild, and they appear to have set locations with new batches arriving every week, so you can’t just buy every piece of Kymera on day one here.
This week, there appear to be five locations where you can scoop up alien artifacts, and I believe they drop in clusters of four. Here’s a map where you can find them this week (via HypeX):
So to recap we have:
- There’s one alien artifact on the left side of the Orchard south of Craggy Cliffs.
- There’s one alien artifact as a reward for going directly to the middle crater of the Aftermath where the Spire used to be.
- There’s one alien artifact near the centerpoint of the juxtapoisition of Holly Hedges, Weeping Woods and Slurpy Sawmp.
- There’s one alien artifact on the north west part of Catty Corner.
- There’s one alien artifact near the beach and the river to the north east of Believer Beach.
Once you get these, that should give you 20 Alien Artifacts in total for the week to spend on Kymera, which should be able to unlock a few different styles, and some things cost more than others.
Here are all the available options you can unlock for him to create the alien overlord of your dreams. Kind of wish there were male and female options, but whatever. And there’s a female alien later in the battle pass, I suppose, but you can’t customize her.
So, if there are 5 of these clusters a week for 10 weeks, that should be at least 200 Alien Artifacts used for unlocks and I would expect you’ll be able to unlock everything if you’re keeping up with them.
