3DClouds has released a new update for its sim-cade racer Formula Legends today, continuing the game’s celebration of more than 70 years of motorsport history. The update is available on PC, Xbox and PlayStation with Nintendo Switch set to receive the same content later this month. Alongside general improvements to the core game, the update also introduces two new premium DLC packs.
The Early 2010s Season Pack, priced at $4.49, adds two new cars along with new teams, drivers and scenarios inspired by the turbo-hybrid era. All of this content is fully integrated into Formula Legends’ single-player campaign, giving players new challenges and seasons to work through. Also available is the Turbo Power Pack for $2.24, which includes the GoodJob Mi90 and the Fyrex Early 70, both designed to deliver a more aggressive and demanding driving experience.
Formula Legends patch 1.2 is also available today to all players regardless of DLC ownership. Players now have the option to use manual shifting for more control and immersion, along with impoved slipstream effects. A new Very Easy difficulty setting to better support players of all skill levels and proximity indicators to help track nearby competitors during close racing has also been added. An end-of-race countdown timer to show how much time remains once the leader finishes and expanded resolution options are now available, including support for 8K displays.
Looking ahead, 3DClouds plans to introduce steering wheel support and a full rework of vehicle collisions in the coming months. The team will also begin early online testing with Community Beta registrations opening soon. Further down the line, Formula Legends is set to grow with additional downloadable content, new seasons, new track packs and the game’s first officially licensed championship.
