Nadine Reid revealed she has been inundated with fan mail thanking her for flying the flag for woman of all sizes and colour since starring in the new Littlewoods advert.
The makeup artist turned Xpose star told how it was the latest fashion campaign that catapulted her celebrity status recently.
And Nadine, who has called Dublin home since moving from the UK in 2015 admitted she has been reduced to tears by the support, as women have flocked to hail her as an inspiration in their lives.
She said: “Since doing the Littlewoods ad, yes. My inbox is.. I’ll tell you I was nearly crying the other day.
“I had a black girl message me saying ‘I’ve been in Ireland for so many years’ and I screamed when I saw you on the TV, I feel so good and seen’.
“Then I get a bigger sized person going ‘Gosh, just seeing you at your size on the TV just warms my heart. I smile every time.””
“And then, when I go to the local Centra, I see my older women that live around here and they are just running up and dancing with me, like there was a lady and her mum, and her mum must be around 80.
“Like they are just having fun and enjoying the celebratory side of fashion.”
Nadine’s exclusive collection, as part of the Your Style Delivered campaign, featured on the Littlewoods Ireland 20-second female led and produced TV advert, is aimed at providing the key seasonal trends for women from sizes 8 through to 28.
Honoured by the reaction, the presenter, who was raised by her Jamaican mother in Birmingham, added: “I just think this is really good, I know it is about selling clothes but it just felt really good to help people to emotionally feel something. Whether it is to be seen, for their race, for their size, for their age even, just to see that your clothes can be more than just putting on a practical outfit everyday.”
